Hi. I’m Rosemary Hossenlopp and I help make planning easy for business professionals and small business owners.
I have been planning since I was a teenager. I did my first small billing system conversion project at the tender age of eighteen. I was fearless then, too young to realize that maybe I couldn’t do the work successfully. Thankfully it turned out fine and I’ve never looked back. For the past twenty years, I’ve planned large, global projects in the technology industry. When I made the jump to consulting I didn’t know the rules of the game so I had more fear than I had at eighteen. I had more at stake – my reputation and career, my time and money.
I understand the realities of juggling time while learning marketing, selling, networking, contracting, accounting, and even becoming a webmaster. It’s not easy to know how to prioritize all of these tasks. I know the practical struggles of some days not wanting to do any of it because I wasn’t sure when I’d see the payback for all my hard work, when I’d get my reward. But as my wise business acquaintance Maggie Lancy says, we need both Faith and Patience so we don’t stop five minutes short of the Miracle.
But once I’d created my own personal business plan, things came together. I realized that it wasn’t that hard. The hardest part was acknowledging that my W-2 job hadn’t taught me how to align all the parts. My simple business action plan created alignment of my success factors with my bottom line. My business efforts now bring me incredible opportunities. I want to share with you what took me a long time to learn so you can stop wasting your time and money.
I work hard to research and study the business of business. I speak at national conferences and write books. I like to share my information and make academic information from professors and books easy to understand and to implement.
I started Planning Group in 2002 and work from home where I live in Mountain View (near San Francisco). I love what I do and find it a pleasure to serve small business owners.
